It was raining a bit when we decided to visit my old hangout place in North Bangalore, Sahakarnagar.
This place wasn’t very famous except for the fact Spitfire Food Truck used to come here once in a while, also this place has a lot of retired government people staying here.
I had heard about this new place right above where Gold’s Gym used to be there, so I decided to have a look.
The Druid Garden is a microbrewery situated on the Sahakarnagar Main Road right above the Reliance Digital store.
Asian, Continental, European, North Indian, Mediterranean
What to look out for?
Amazing staff, Super fast service, Beer and Food.
We had ordered Peanut Masala( Goes well with the beer), Paneer Tikka, Indian Pale Ale, Potato Bezule, Chicken Tacos, Pizza Carbonara and Orchard Fresh.
The Peanut Masala was tangy and spicy, it goes well with their craft beer. This is a must try over here.
The Indian Pale Ale was hoppy and strong as compared to the other craft beer of the same range in microbreweries in Bangalore. You can taste all the beer on offer for 70/- per beer. Indian Pale Ale goes well with the pizza and pasta here.
This little mocktail is called Passion Potion, and it tasted amazing! It’s a Rose syrup with cold pressed Pineapple juice with rose flakes and ice. Never thought rose and pineapple will go so good together!
Have you tried peri peri fries? Yup this is it. Spicy and crispy, this was the least favourite dish of the night. Unlike the other dishes, this wasn’t filling at all.
I never had Paneer Tikka with Tamarind chutney before, so this was an eye opener. The tikka will melt in your mouth, it has the smoky tandoor flavour infused in each bite. Do ask them for vinegar soaked onions, it goes well with this.
I don’t know if the ice cream they served is in-house or they get from somewhere, but it was one of the best ice creams I have had in quite some time. Orchard Fresh comes with two options: Ice Cream or Sorbet. Will try the sorbet next time for sure!
